The holidays bring a lot of fuss and activity. We decorate, shop, have cookie swaps, get together with friends and family, eat too much. But for me, it’s also a time of reflection. A time to thank God for what He’s given me and a time to mourn over what I’ve lost. I think over the goals I set for myself and revel in the ones I’ve accomplished. I chastise myself and make excuses for the ones that I failed. I promise to try harder next year… I wonder what I can do to be more like Christ. And if I’ll do those things. Can I transcend?

He’s given me all I need.
