Gearing up for VBS
Call me crazy but one of my favorite times of the year is the week of Vacation Bible School at my church, West End. I actually can’t wait for it to start tomorrow. The key scripture this year is “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today.” (Ex. 14:13) What a great verse and a powerful message–that God cares for us and is in control.
The music is great too–so awesome to watch 500 kids singing praise songs at the top of their lungs while doing dance moves. It brings me joy to see the excitement on their faces. And I envy how they can live in the moment. I do believe Jesus wants us to come Him like the children, what better way to try than being surrounded by hundreds of them.
Here’s a clip from last years’ program. One of the more sedate songs…Enjoy.

VBS is one of my favorite weeks of the year too. It’s like nothing else. We do a giant production at our church, and it’s so much fun. LOVE the energy, and just love seeing kids who normally wouldn’t be in church.
