An F in Blogging
WOW! I have been one LOUSY blogger lately. If I had to give myself a grade (you know, since I used to be a teacher and all that) it would be an F. Actually, I don’t know if teachers give F’s anymore. My daughter gets E’s and S’s, which I find utterly ridiculous. You can call a fruit by a different name, but it doesn’t make it a different fruit. It just has a different name. It reminds me of when I used to work at this particular school (which I will not name) where on Field Day we gave all of the kids a blue ribbon at the end of the day. In fact, we didn’t even call it field day because apparently that sounded too competitive. Um…hello, there were games at each station and with each game a winner and a loser. Why was everyone getting a blue ribbon? Okay, maybe the really young kids didn’t get it, but I taught Middle School at the time. They knew who had won and who had lost. So, the blue ribbons for them had no meaning. They were tossed aside and forgotten. We are not all the same. But this is a good thing. Something we should celebrate…not cover up.
Anyway, back to my blogging…here’s what I’ve been thinking–it’s time to do something different. Not sure what that is yet…maybe just some snippets of my exciting life as a stay-at-home soccer-mom as I take life-threatening trips to Walmart and beyond. I don’t know. I’m still mulling it over. But stay tuned…
By the way, I just came back from a great seminar in marketing fiction, part of the Masters Seminars. It was fabulous, and if you’re an author, you should attend. Seriously. I learned tons about marketing and publishing and had a great time in the process.
Here’s a pic of our group…

Kit, the Marketing Fiction Seminar sounds like a great experience. On a side note, I see Conlan Brown was in your group. I’m reading his book right now and really enjoying it.

Hi Kit: I get an F in blogging lately, too. Maybe it’s the time of year. Maybe it’s trying to write more manuscript pages and blog less. Don’t know. Anyway, I look forward to hearing/reading what your new blog direction will be. Keep us posted.

Hi Rae Ann, So great to hear from you. And I’d love to blame my bad blogging on the holidays but..er… I think it’s just me

Linked here from Nicole’s site where I saw this same picture. The seminar sounds good, but I am not a fiction writer. But, since beginning blogging, I have b/c more of a fiction reader. I’ve met many writers through the blog and FB and have read or am reading their books.
I’ve just taken a quick look, but you have a nice blog. Good luck and God bless on your continued writing. Warren
