After the Call: the First Year

I’ll talk about what it’s like to be a newly contracted author. Discuss and show what editor requested revisions, the contract, advance, line edits, and copy edits are all about. Author’s input into the cover art, title and back cover blurb will also be explained, as well as requiring rights to these for promotional purposes. The idea is to take the mystery out of what is and is not the responsibility of the author and how not to let that frustrate or surprise one in his/her new career.
