SABOTAGE *** 4 1/2 STARS from RT Book Reviews ***
Derrick Randall needs this job at Cedar Oak Stables if he hopes to finish veterinary school, but discovering the body of the former groom on his first day causes him to question God’s will. A meeting with Emilie Gill’s stable owner father almost has him quitting, but when she is accused of murder, he senses he needs to support her. As trouble escalates at the stables, Derrick is attracted to Emilie and he encourages her to investigate the murder of the groom as well as accept the guidance and peace offered by a God she doesn’t believe is interested in her. This excellent story builds an intriguing mystery around a developing romance in the fascinating world of competitive steeplechase.

Beth Zarnik of Great Reads says, “Sabotage offers readers a riveting story, rich with suspense, romance and the world of horses, stables and preparation for Olympic equestrian hopefuls. It’s a can’t-put-it-down novel — the kind we all love. Don’t miss it!”
Set in Virginia against the backdrop of thoroughbreds and Olympic trainers, Wilkerson expertly draws her readers into the story, weaving a nice balance between the genteel world and suspense. And for one who doesn’t read suspense, I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced story. Novel Journey and I recommend it for a great summer read.

Protector’s Honor
“Romance and suspense often go together — think Mary Higgins Clark — but Kit Wilkinson adds a third factor, spirituality, in her debut novel, Protector’s Honor.”
Jay Strafford, Richmond Times-Dispatch

Margaret Daley, award-winning author of over 60 novels
“Kit Wilkinson’s Protector’s Honor delivers suspense and romance with flair. I especially liked the backdrop of triathlon competition, and the setting in western North Carolina added an authentic feel to the story. I look forward to seeing more from Kit!”
Susan Page Davis, award winning author
“Protector’s Honor is a sweet romance with a heart-skipping story. The author didn’t go heavy-handed on the suspense. She offered moments of sweet relief through the ever-building romance between the hero and heroine. She did a great job plotting out the story and left me guessing who-dunnit till the very end. Ironically, my very favorite line in the book was the very last one. I won’t give it away. But I don’t think I’ve seen a more fitting “wrap-up” line in a book in years. Kudos to the author! Nicely done. If you like fast-paced suspense thrillers with a strong romantic thread, Protector’s Honor is the book for you.”

“Each year the Romance Writers of America® holds a contest called the Golden Heart® to discover the best romance manuscripts available in the U.S. and abroad. In 2008, Kit Wilkinson’s story took the top award in the inspirational category and sold two months later. I waited a year for the release of Protector’s Honor, knowing the book would be a winner, and my wait was rewarded with an action-packed read that kept me turning the pages until two in the morning.
When Tabitha Beaumont screams, NCIS agent Rory Farrell comes to her rescue, averting an abduction attempt. The handsome hero with a big heart that’s gone out to Tabitha learns shortly thereafter about a connection between her and his latest murder investigation. Soon it becomes clear her life is in danger due to vital information she doesn’t even know she possesses, and Rory steps in to protect her. Evidence points to possible involvement of someone dear to Tabitha, and in a moment of weakness, she gives in to her growing feelings for Rory and divulges a secret. In order to ensure her safety, he’s forced to choose between betraying her trust and following his heart.
Wilkinson’s story takes off at a fast clip and hurtles from one scene to the next. Each time I thought things might settle down, another twist or turn transpired, keeping me off balance and racing for the end to find out how these two likable people deal with impending disaster. If you enjoy a riveting romance with a heaping helping of suspense and strong characters who entrust their uncertain futures to the Lord, I recommend Protector’s Honor.”
