A fellow writer, Nicole O’Dell, has posted a really interesting review of Sabotage. Please take a moment and visit her fabulous website and blog. And if you have tween girls be sure to check out her Scenarios for girls. Great books. I’m reading them with my daughter right now!!!

From Nicole:

“I’m so happy to welcome my good friend, Kit Wilkinson, back to my blog for a visit! If you missed my last interview of Kit and the review of her first book, Protector’s Honor, you can check it out HERE. Today we’re here to celebrate with Kit over the recent release of Sabotage, a Love Inspired Suspense from Steeple Hill.

Before we get to the book, I thought I’d help you get to know Kit just a little bit more. I did a “quickfire” interview–I shot a few words or phrases at her, and she replied with the first thing that came to mind.

Spicy
Tuna roll

Double-sided tape
Really sticky

Kilt
Braveheart

Lightyear
Buzz

Horseshoe
Hoof-pick

Sweet
Tea, pickles, pea

To-do list
A euphemism for “things I don’t want to-do list”

8th grade
Bad hair

Vacation
YES, thank you

Treadmill
Run and read

Nap
Something my son doesn’t do

Yippeeeee
One of those words I would never say but text and email frequently

Page-turner
What I’d like to be writing
(note to Kit: Sabotage IS a page-turner!)

Hero
Mr. Darcy

1980
George Orwell

Bible
God’s word

Now, let’s talk Sabotage!

Olympic hopeful Emilie Gill is beautiful, rich, successful—and in danger. Someone’s targeting her stable, her friends, her life…and there’s nowhere for her to turn. The police? They’ve charged her with murder. Her father? Out of town—again. Her best friend? He’s the man she’s accused of killing. There’s no one to count on—until Derrick Randall rides into her life. The stable manager’s support encourages Emilie to open her carefully guarded heart. But just as she’s learning to trust, it all comes apart. Her faith—and newfound love—are all she’ll have when the sabotage turns deadly once more….
Sabotage centers around a topic I don’t know very much about: Horses. But I really appreciate that the story is written with such depth that I learned about the topic without feeling like I was being taught. By the second half of the book, I felt like a horse expert.

Emilie Gill struck me as a study in opposites. She was warm and cold; strong and weak; needy and independent…she felt like a combination of the me I show the world and the me I keep hidden–you too, I’d imagine.

The love story was surprising. Usually, I expect the woman to be the spiritual one trying to win the man over to Christ. Not so in Emilie’s case. She’s the one who needs to find truth and Derrick, the handsome groom, is eager to lead her there. The suspense thread is scary and maddening. I can’t stand not knowing things. LOL I really, really wanted to find out what happened–that’s why I called it a page-turner and it also proves how invested I was in the characters.

I highly recommend this book. Check it out and come on back to tell me what you think. I promise you won’t be disappointed! Also, be sure to join me on Teen Talk Radio, on June 24th at 10pm EST when Kit and her niece, Emilie, are my guests.”
