MOM IN THE MAKING (4) by Kit Wilkinson: Widowed and pregnant Becky Kirkpatrick is the new middle-school fill-in teacher in Glendale, Tenn. She meets Justin Winters when she mistakenly takes his coffee, never imagining that he was once best friends with her husband. Justin is home to recover from his experiences in Afghanistan. Justin and Becky become involved, but will the past misunderstanding between the Winters and the Kirkpatricks preclude any chance of a relationship with her? Covering a variety of relationships, with both main characters working to overcome their fears, this is a sometimes sad, sometimes joyful, yet always hopeful and heartwarming story.

An ex-Marine, now NCIS agent, Rory soon finds himself helping Tabitha discover why someone is after her and how it involves her dentist brother, Max. When a man who knows her brother, and whom Tabitha once dated, is murdered, it becomes apparent that the bad guys are playing for keeps, and the situation may involve theft of information that could threaten national security. Plenty of action, a heartwarming love story and a good mystery make this a compelling read.
